OUR PROGRAMMES

Helping people with disabilities move from barriers to opportunity

01

Kids Exceed, Cambodia

Since 2019 we’ve partnered with Exceed Worldwide to help young people with disabilities start and stay in school. Students receive uniforms, stationery, backpacks and bikes, and Exceed’s community team supports them and their families along the way.

02

Rough Terrain Wheelchairs, Nepal

Nepal’s roads and hillsides are brutal on a standard chair. Since 2007 we’ve funded rough terrain wheelchairs for patients at the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Kathmandu, including a fleet of 50 in 2017.

03

Limb Centres

We’ve helped rebuild limb centres in Nepal and Cambodia, and upgraded the workshop and fitting room at Limb Care Nepal so limbs can be built safely and fitted well.

STUDENT STORIES

Our students are the clearest measure of our impact.

Srey Nich was born without part of her right leg. With a prosthetic leg, a uniform, school materials and a bike, she has started Grade 1 and goes to school every day.

Kids Exceed student, Preah Sihanouk

After an accident, Seyhak stopped going to school for six months. With a leg brace, encouragement and a new bike, he’s back in Grade 5 and doing well.

Frequently asked questions

  • How are Kids Exceed students chosen?

Exceed Worldwide’s local team finds students through community surveys and referrals from hospitals and clinics. They visit each family to understand what support will help the child get to school and stay there.

  • How do you know the support is working?

Exceed’s community workers follow up with each student after support is given and track how they’re progressing at school. Mark also visits Cambodia each December to meet the students in person.

  • Who are your partners?

Exceed Worldwide in Cambodia, and the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Centre and Limb Care Nepal in Kathmandu. We choose partners with deep local knowledge and a track record we trust.

  • Why Cambodia and Nepal?

A dollar goes much further in Cambodia and Nepal, so your donation makes the biggest possible difference there. We focus our support where it can change the most lives.

  • What does it cost to support a student?

$[X] provides a full school package for one student for a year.

  • Can I sponsor a specific student or project?

We don’t run individual sponsorships, but you can direct your donation to a particular programme. Just let us know when you give.
